Miami-area advisory appoints veteran wealth manager

Ex-Carlton Fields attorney Ana Cela Harris made a partner of Singer Xenos. Coral Gables, Fla.-based Singer Xenos Wealth Management has made Ana Cela Harris, formerly with the law firm Carlton Fields, a partner and senior advisor. The wealth-management firm says the appointment strengthens its "targeted and integrated financial-management practice."

Legalese

Harris "is an ace at converting legalese into plain English or Spanish, and in helping clients gauge complex decisions," says Faith Read Xenos, Singer Xenos' founding partner and COO. "Add to that her personal understanding of the unique financial challenges faced by women and Hispanics, and you can certainly see why we consider her a great asset."

At Miami-based Carlton Fields, Harris assisted clients with personal tax planning and family-held business matters.

In her new role, Harris will help high-net-worth clients with financial planning and investment management, estate tax and retirement planning. She will also help them investments and assets for risk tolerance, liability exposure and consistency with "testamentary documents" -- wills and whatnot.

Singer Xenox says it manages more than $900 million for its clients. Many of its clients are successful business owners and professionals. -FWR
